the reproductive health bill

my blog has always been a repository of all things emotional, physical, mental, financial, spiritual, visual, but almost never political. i'm a slightly political person but in this blog, i think i've been almost apolitical.

however, because of the sheer ignorance and hypocrisy (not discounting the bullying of the catholic church) of the many filipino people, i think it's high time that we just pass the REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH BILL into law.

have you seen how many filipino parents have gone mad because they could not feed their dozen brood? or how many women have died because of backstreet abortion? or the simple fact that there are more filipino people than access to education, housing, food, health care, etc? HELLO! and i just could not be more appalled and aghast at the church's way of bullying many of the politicians into not signing the bill. i believe in abstinence, i believe in prayer, and i believe in God. but i also believe in giving each and every filipino child a healthy, productive, and sustainable life. i mean, if people could not eat, could not study, could not work, and could not pay for their electric bill, what do expect them to do?! sleep?!

the least we can do is educate them on the many ways they can prevent the spread of diseases and their exposure to unnecessary dangers in the future.

i am for the reproductive health bill. and you can be, too!

sign here!

ciao!
