bilang nagkaroon nanaman ng isang weekend, nagbalak akong magedit-edit lang.

sa 'di pinlanong pagkakataon, nagkaroon kami ng photoshoot ng pinsan ko gamit ang digital na slr ng boypren (mok) ng pinsan (cheska) ko nung isang-isang linggo (matagal na, in short). pinaglaruan at nagfeeling lang. at bilang utu-uto rin ang pinsan ko, hinimok ko siyang pumose-pose sa pinakamalinis na dingding ng bahay namin (mahirap humanap ng ganun okey?!). ayun nagpauto naman siya at nakakuha ako ng mga maayos na shots ng mukha niya. lilane pala pangalan niya.
ewan ko ba, siguro nasa portraiture ang karera ko at kahit na anong lawak ng shots ko, di ko namamalayang naka-crop ko na pala siya sa papunta sa mukha. kaya yung mga gustong magpabeauty shots jan, pumunta lang sa bahay ko sa makati (hindi yung sa dasma o sa forbes, dahil ni lupa sa paso, wala ako dun) at magdala ng tumataginting na pera, pera, salapi, salapi, kwarta, at kwarta. kung ayaw niyo, 'di wag, wala namang pilitan to eh. tutal, maguutuan lang naman tayo. (sabayan ako sa pagbigkas: HINDI AKO MUKHANG PERA o MONEY-FACED sa mga tanga tanga magtranslate diyan)

sabi ko nga, level na kung level ang pagpapanggap ko. bilang gayon, gumawa ako ng isang logo para sa mga ret... ritra... litrat... pictures na i-eedit ko ng maximum level.

nga pala, wag kalimutan ang star ng bawat ritrato, ang logo. =P

una kong gawa. gusto ko ng natural lang... natural na pageedit.

natutuwa ako dito kasi ninakaw ko lang yang shot na yan. ang lakas kasi ng bentilador sa harap ng mukha niya. in fairview, quezon city, mukha namang natural lang.

at dahil natuwa ako sa "look" at "feel" ng picture, fineel ko na rin ang magedit. tutal, malapit na magpasko.

siguro napansin mo na rin na nag-edit ako ng mga pictures nitong nakalipas na linggo para kunyari lomo. ayun, inapply ko ulit siya ng konti lang naman. narealize ko, gusto ko ng mukhang lumot ang kulay.

o ayan pa isa. umart lang ng konti sa likod likod. kunyari may drama. pero kuware lang.

o siya. nahihilo na ko sa pagpapanggap.

monday artsy blues

so it's a monday. apart from it being a laundry/cleaning/domestic-helper day, i drew, i painted, and i tried my hand on lomography. well, uhmm, not quite. =D i just edited old artsy fartsy pics to make it look like lomo. i liked how some of it turned out, though. these are my faves.

i paint again

i was inspired to paint again, thanks to youtube. i'll be buying my art supplies again soon. for now, i have to be content with photoshop.

i know it's still rough but i'm just using the standard mouse. i can't get the feel of the brush on the space as i should if i use graphite and paper. i'm happy with how it looks, though.

just when you thought it was over

the president asks for another conference. the area managers' conference this time. just a week's notice and a week after the killer anniversary week. define STRESS.

the calm AFTER the storm

this is what happened.

since cathy has resigned, i was tasked to do stuff for our anniversary week. this week is second to my may event in terms of stress, pressure, and work load. i barely had sleep this week.

to do list:

• 1 anniversary general tarpaulin
• 1 conference tarp
• 1 dinner event tarp
• dinner event invitations
• conference invitations
• conference table program
• registration desk
• reservation standees
• conference wallpaper (an image to be constantly projected on the screen)
• dinner event wallpaper
• dinner event audio-video presentation
• anniversary presentation
• podium logo
• 5th year anniversary logo

i know. it's just a few. RIGHT. when i found out that i was gonna do all those things in two weeks, i immediately told them that given the circumstances and the time frame, i MIGHT not be able to finish everything. (it was good that cathy already started on a few things so i just had to pick up where she took off)
good news. i did. though it meant long hours of almost bashing the monitor and a lot of expletives directed to the pc, it was all done.
there were a few setbacks about the tarpaulins - our supplier got confused with what and how many they were supposed to produce. BUT this is a feel-good post. i won't delve into specifics. but you know what? after those two-day conference and dinner event the president came up to us and said:

"good job, guys! and you know i don't usually say that a lot. you're just getting better and better!"

it was music to our ears. we could have just died at that moment as if all the stress of the previous weeks disappeared. even for just a few minutes. i mean come on, that was THAT.

i am not bragging, but this week, i'm proud of what i was able to do. *pat on the back.*

and oh, during the dinner event, the president asked me to sing. i was surprised, tired, and you know how it went. *face/palm*
