i was watching how i met your mother last week when marshall and lily were planning their wedding. they were making a list of cliche things that people often do at weddings when barney said "1st corinthians chapter 13." marshall then recited the chapter and i thought he said it well. ofcourse, there was a punch line. :-)

so i read the love chapter and found this.

i guess i am always striving for "the perfect." ang dami kong naiisip at ang daming bigla nalang dumadating sa isip ko these past few days na connected dun. as far as i know, in this world kasi, there's no such thing as perfect. maraming "almost" but not quite. marami din namang "perfect" pero you'll realize, sandaling sandali lang pala yun. yung mga bagay na pinaniwalaan mo as perfect, eh hindi pala laging perfect at mas lalong hindi habang buhay na perfect. pero as cynic as i am sa perfect-perfect-an na yan, i am still waiting for that day when at least, kahit sandali lang, may mangyaring perfect sa buhay ko. na kahit lumipas ang panahon, hindi siya mababahiran ng imperfections. that the things you deemed perfect are not only perfect for a short period of time. yun yung perfection na inaasam ko -- na kahit anong mangyari, that "perfect" will not be made imperfect by time, memory, consciousness, and experience.

sabi din kasi diyan, pagdating ng perfection, lahat ng mga imperfections at kahit yung parte lang ng perfection will be done away.

brothers and sisters

this week - very stressful.
next week - very stressful, yata ulit.

all week this week, i've been watching brothers and sisters. i'm done with season 1. done with season 2... well, almost. the good ole pirated dvd that i bought was only until episode 12. and that's the problem.

I NEED SEASON 2 EPISODES 12 - 16!!


i can wait for season 3 and watch it over the net.

please don't tell me to download torrents because like i said, i only have A LOT LESS THAN 1GB left on my hard drive.

while waiting, i'm watching the tudors season 2.

by next post, maybe i can show you what i'm up to this week =)

i was in the office a while ago and was doing nothing (fyi: i finished all my tasks and deliverables in the morning. =P ) and thought about this:

i need something to hold on to every time i feel a little down. i need it to come from my own experiences. so i thought of putting all the good things that i can be proud of/happy of in pieces of paper and just draw from the lot when i feel the need to.
but why waste paper? so i'll just do it here online. on my blog. duh.

so starting from today, whenever i experience something good, i shall write it on here. that's all hehe.

in my previous job, while helping out one of the cashiers, one customer, while paying for his merchandise asked for my name. the whole time i was helping the cashier, i was all smiles and i was actually quite cheerful. he asked so aggressively that i was actually taken aback and thought immediately that i was a bit too irritating for him. and the fact that his eyes were squinting at my name plate's direction didn't help at all.
so i looked at him shyly and said: uhh, yes sir? it's bryan.
i was actually waiting for some not-so-nice words from him.
then he paused and said: bryan, huh... you deserve your position.
then he went off carrying loads of paper bags.

have you ever seen THAT detergent commercial by CHAMPION? they say their detergent is economical for so many reasons. one testimonial went like this:

"... 'yung pinaglabhan ko, napapanghugas ko pa ng plato."

*BARF* YUCK! i can't even imagine how those stupid advertisers approved of that testimonial.
i can only imagine...

just gross.
