i'm tired today. late na ko nakauwi, maaga pa bukas. buti na lang, ang sarap talaga katrabaho ng mga officemates ko. parang hindi ko naramdaman na naiinis na pala ako sa dami ng palpak sa office hehe. thank god for great officemates.

they were both sweet. i just smiled at the woman and gestured towards my cam and she smiled and nodded. i smiled back at her and took her daughter's pictures. while reg and i were just talking near where the koi's were, she passed by us and asked in (i think) a german accent,
"your hobby?"
i smiled and said, "yes."

it was raining and i was just shooting random things when i saw the excavation near our office. while waiting for some special thing to happen, that guy on the right noticed me taking a picture, he waved and said,
"psssssst!!!"

in a totally unrelated news, last wednesday, we went to edsa shrine to hear mass after work. consequently, we had our foreheads.. uhmm.. ash-ed. hahaha.

tapos na, malapit na

tapos na ang unang conference ng taon. sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, hindi ako na-stess at na-pressure sa mismong conference. ni-psych ko na ang sarili ko na irerelax ko lang ang conference na ito. effective pala. mabuti nalang.

productive naman dahil nagkaroon ako ng dalawang tarpaulins, mga presentations, templates, at imbitasyon. may konting daya ang imbitasyon dahil recycled ang konsepto. siguro dahil na rin sa katamaran ko. pero ok lang, sabi naman nila, di bale nang tamad, di naman pagod.

ang iniisip ko nalang, malapit na ko umalis. less than 48 hours nalang, nasa dumaguete na ko ulit. goodbye old, polluted, and cranky manila. hello fresh, exciting, and relaxing dumaguete.

o siya, kapuy na ko kaayo. kit-a lang ta sa dumaguete.

napapansin ko lang ha, ang kintab na niya ha. 'wag muna lord, 22 pa lang ako! (wag ka nang komontra please lang!!).
tin was kind enough to creatively crop my dark circles with the office cube divider. she just forgot to place a light diffuser on our flourescent bulbs. yeah, that's how detailed we are when we take our pictures in the office.

i was just supposed to get ice cream when THAT BROWN THING greeted me when i opened the freezer. for a moment i was thinking of possible culprits which had the audacity to leave its "surprise" inside my freezer. then i saw that red canister on the right. nestle pops pala... kala ko tae.

before we started working this year, tin, lloyd, and i went to my house to drink and make nachos. well, the nachos started with us wanting just salsa with it. then i have cheese pa pala so we grated cheese. then i made the (now famous) mayosabi dip (naks!). then i remembered i still have mushrooms, so tin made garlic mushrooms. but we forgot i don't have LPG yet so we settled for the electric griller/plate. lloyd (who had monosodium glutamate aka umami conveniently built-in inside his mouth), was kind enough to eat it. and i quote, while dipping the nachos: "ang sarap niya!!"

during a break from last year's annual planning session, my boss obliged to be my bolang kristal. i borrowed mai's pashmina dash-cum-slash (really big) scarf. of course, we just have to take a pic. duh!

most recent: EFFIN' RATS!!!!!! remember this?? now they did this!!! i used to have one really long-wired mic. it came with the webcam i bought eons ago. it was just recently that i used this mic because my other headset kinda gave up on me. i was supposed to record a song in my head (a usual past time when i'm bored, not that it's any good thank you very much).
when i picked the head of the microphone (see illustration, labeled 6) i thought i picked up the wrong thing. but no!!! as soon as i found pieces of the wire on the floor, my eyes went straight to the socket at the back of the CPU (see illustration, labeled 5) and that's all i found! my once SINGULAR microphone became a 6-piece whatever's-left-of-the-mic. FOCKEN RATS.
it doesn't end there. having found out that the rats had a feast on the wires of my mic, i think it also follows that I HAVE RATS IN THE "COMPUTER ROOM!" and when i say rats, i don't mean the "regular mouse" i usually see running around the house. i mean rats as in RATS THE SIZE OF CATS! ponyeta.

something really weird AND funny

ok, so i got a call from my mother in the office. we talked about trivial things -- including my digital slr *shivers*
now here's the thing. for no reason at all, my mother asked if i have a love life. KAMON KAMON!
and since when did my mother start asking about my love life?!

i'm having an OK time in the office. as expected, workload is not really that heavy. though it's not that light either. it's just... OK.

also in the office, our messenger whom we call officer 1 jake, made us really laugh. tin was reading her e-mail out loud, " dear vins..." when jake continued, " we invite you to..."
then we all stopped and looked at jake. we were like "JAKE!!! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?" LOL. then while walking away, he added, " a pleasant hello!" bwahahahahahahaha! i swear jake has one of the best timings in our department!
i know it's not really funny now. but you have to be there and you have to EXPERIENCE jake. haha.

this week - very stressful.

all week this week, i've been watching brothers and sisters. i'm done with season 1. done with season 2... well, almost. the good ole pirated dvd that i bought was only until episode 12. and that's the problem.

I NEED SEASON 2 EPISODES 12 - 16!!


i can wait for season 3 and watch it over the net.

please don't tell me to download torrents because like i said, i only have A LOT LESS THAN 1GB left on my hard drive.

while waiting, i'm watching the tudors season 2.

my super modern and technologically advanced office finally had its coffee maker last week. tin and i brought coffee and basically bossed the others to bring sugar and creamer. i think it's biting me now in the ass 'coz for days now, my heart goes thumpa thumpa.

i just had a fun afternoon today. it was actually nothing but i sorta had a verbal and mental joust with a certain "person" in the office today. ang kulit niya lang talaga. minsan nakakainis, minsan nakakatuwa. pssstttuuuyyyy!!! tumigil ka na, sige ka! hehe.

sheila my officemate impulsively bought a laptop the other day. i was talking to her on the phone and i asked her why she suddenly bought it. she said, "ang bigat nung sa atin eh!"

san ka pa?! dahil mabigat ang laptop ng office, bibili siya.
but in fairness (in tin's gay voice) "ang taray ng lola mo!" the laptop is cute -- it's actually a notebook. acer aspire one. cool no? only for 16k. not bad for 1Gb RAM and 8Gb HD.
but while browsing the store's product catalogue this afternoon, we found the same thing from asus, 2Gb RAM and 60Gb HD for THE SAME PRICE.

i just chatted with a former officemate and i suddenly, greatly, missed ps!

god, it's been a long time since i last thought of my days in ps. it was there where i started to become part of the working force of the philippines haha. after years of convincing myself that i would never work in a call center, i ended up having it as my first job! and i didn't have regrets doing it at all. it was there where i met friends that i still keep up to this day and i never thought we would last this long.

i remember we had to train for 2 months under kitch and shy -- who by the way are great trainers =) and we had nesting for about a week, i think. then after that, all hell broke loose. hahahahahaha...

i miss waking up at 3 in the morning and having a very good commute to work. i miss the cigarettes i take before my shift. i miss the taho. i miss talking to a bunch of stupid people. i miss being stalked hahaha. no really, this girl was really something. i miss the morning breaks. i miss expedia. i miss my supervisors. i miss my call being barged. i miss waiting for csa to finally pick up and do whatever it is that they do that i can't do LOL. i miss getting incentives (top 2 across centers! kamon kamon! top 1 si ivar). i miss the P1.00 coffee. i miss the free cocoa. i miss the soap and the neverending supply of toilet papers. i miss having lunch at 3 in the morning. i miss having lunch at 10. i miss the "toot" sound my access card makes. i miss the carpet. i miss the emails - the chatlook. i miss my long hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i miss the all-week gimik - we go out EVERY DAY. that's also where i experienced a gimik with my batchmates for 24 freaking hours!!!!!!!! i miss the utter freedom after work. i miss walking out of the building with a lot of friends in tow. i miss the haggardness of csat's. i miss seeing ps almost torn to pieces by one storm. i miss braving the storm just to be on time. i miss NEVER being late. i miss being young and carefree while working there. i miss daydreaming over hotels and vacation packages i'm booking for clients. i miss the culture in ps. i miss the emotions. i miss... i miss everything about it!

gawd, this is so nostalgic. i can still smell the distinct smell of the office, the background voices of people working, the clicking of the mouse and keyboard, and the financial freedom i had when i was working there.

le sigh.
friends in ps, i miss you sooooo much and i wish that we'd have the same experience as before. and until then, let's gimiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!
