i don't know if this day should be celebrated. in any case, it's my father's 10th year death anniversary. ang bilis ng panahon...
pa, i wish you are here but nonetheless...

sometimes, you don't want to be invisible
i am walking and looking back --
trodden steps laid deep in mud.
nine equally spaced steps
etched clearly, drawn deeply.
yet, it is only i that sees
those nine -- my gauntlet.

f-l-o-o-r-e-d-!-!-!
san ka pa?! dahil mabigat ang laptop ng office, bibili siya.
but in fairness (in tin's gay voice) "ang taray ng lola mo!" the laptop is cute -- it's actually a notebook. acer aspire one. cool no? only for 16k. not bad for 1Gb RAM and 8Gb HD.
but while browsing the store's product catalogue this afternoon, we found the same thing from asus, 2Gb RAM and 60Gb HD for THE SAME PRICE.
trrruummmppppeeeddddd!

over the weekend: traveler's edition
WOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
AYLAVET! I JUST LAVETTTT...
for the past coupla months, you know i've been ranting about having a good massage. i tried a couple of useless therapists from useless massage clinics but i just could not get the massage i got from the now-defunct massage clinic before.
everything changed last saturday -- after almost two days of bugging mai, my officemate, into using the spa in the resort where our team building was held -- i finally had not just a decent but an excellent massage. i think she is even better than my previous therapist. it was the first time that i dozed off during a massage. it was THAT relaxing. perfect. perfect!
anyway, as mentioned, i conducted my first out-of-town teambuilding last friday and saturday. the place was really nice -- just a few more things to build and finish, but it was already nice as it is. and we had a really spacious and cozy villa. the attendees, or should i say teambuilders, were all billeted in the lakeshore villa. they had the perfect vista - complete with the taal volcano view right on their doorstep! but i'm not complaining, ours was great anyway -- made even greater because only the 3 tdd people were there. the only regret i had was the mobi-deep (swimming pools installed on the lake). they had it removed because i think it was damaged by the previous storms.
i brought with me a digicam but unfortunately for my sorry ass, i forgot to buy batteries so i used my phone instead. the hotel sells eveready batteries but hello, i wouldn't wanna spend 200 pesos for those. buti sana kung energizers pa yun.
anyway you've seen it all =)
ciao!

even in this ghetto place of evangelista, i see lots and lots of koreans. the worst part is, they're also my comptetitors for cabs. kapalan kung kapalan. agawan kung agawan. ugh.
can you come back to where you all came from? there's just too many of you in a third world country.
i'm having palpitations yet again. the last souvenir med i got from my doctor the past few months is still here. but it's... souvenir. ergo, cannot touch.
parang napapansin ko, pabigat na ng pabigat ang ginagawa ko. medyo hindi na nakakatuwa minsan. pero atleast, may ginagawa.
nanglilimahid na ko sa kahirapan. i think the last time i felt poor was, uhhmm, the day before payday. and the next is pay day is the week after next, pa. huhuhuhu.
i think i need to stay away from coffee.
waaaa but we just had a coffee maker in the office. dammet!
i seriously need a massage. the massage clinic who does home service shut down two months ago. right now, my back is really killing me, my legs are giving up on me, and my arms are falling off any time soon. i need a massaaaaaggge...
malapit na mag anniversary ang milenyo peeps. where, oh, where are you my milenyo buds? sha, ivar, katz, yuri -- where are all of you?! aymishuuu.
ayoko pa tumandaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
ayoko dumaan sa quarter-life.
rewind. rewind. kahit 4 years lang.
we have this team building to facilitate tomorrow in batanggas. i heard it's a nice place. check them out here.
IS THAT A SPA?!?!?!? HUWHAT?!!
BAT AY HEB NO MANYYYYYYYYY.....
i still haven't studied my modules. LEDERSHEP? WHAT LEDERSHEP? and kulor-kulor portion? like kulor red and kulor gren. i'm excited. and i'm talking nonsense. boooo.
ciao =(

have you heard about this?
the large hadron collider? apparently the most expensive gadget AND the biggest that is -- stretching 27 kilometers in circumference somewhere in geneva, switzerland.
well apparently, some well known scientific organization (i think it's CERN) is trying to copy the big-bang theory.
there were even some scientists who feared that building the LHC and attempting to do a mini big-bang experiment would imperil the earth to extinction or what we call the black hole (no, not that black hole you ijot). so what's the big fuss? according to some site i read days ago, they have already started doing their project and, well, it was a success. i just don't know their definition of success because i got lost through the mumbo-jumbo of star-trekscientific jargons midway through the article.
anyway, for my two loyal readers, i dutifully placed a link here for the wikipedia entry and i'm also embedding the youtube version of what exactly the large hard-onhadron collider is.
but if you don't want to click or to watch. here's the deal:
The LHC, the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator, is the latest addition to CERN’s accelerator complex. It mainly consists of a 27 km ring of superconducting magnets with a number of accelerating structures to boost the energy of the particles along the way.
Inside the accelerator, two beams of particles travel at close to the speed of light with very high energies before colliding with one another. The beams travel in opposite directions in separate beam pipes – two tubes kept at ultrahigh vacuum. They are guided around the accelerator ring by a strong magnetic field, achieved using superconducting electromagnets. These are built from coils of special electric cable that operates in a superconducting state, efficiently conducting electricity without resistance or loss of energy. This requires chilling the magnets to about ‑271°C – a temperature colder than outer space! For this reason, much of the accelerator is connected to a distribution system of liquid helium, which cools the magnets, as well as to other supply services.
Thousands of magnets of different varieties and sizes are used to direct the beams around the accelerator. These include 1232 dipole magnets of 15 m length which are used to bend the beams, and 392 quadrupole magnets, each 5–7 m long, to focus the beams. Just prior to collision, another type of magnet is used to 'squeeze' the particles closer together to increase the chances of collisions. The particles are so tiny that the task of making them collide is akin to firing needles from two positions 10 km apart with such precision that they meet halfway!
All the controls for the accelerator, its services and technical infrastructure are housed under one roof at the CERN Control Centre. From here, the beams inside the LHC will be made to collide at four locations around the accelerator ring, corresponding to the positions of the particle detectors.-- Source: http://press.web.cern.ch/public/en/LHC/HowLHC-en.html
geekness warning.
that's all.
ciao!

tamadation
bryan, i don't think this is the best time to feel tamad.
actually, since yesterday until forever, you cannot feel tamad. for one thing, if you're tamad, you know exactly what will happen and you know you won't like it.
right?
so get that lazy ass off of it.
now.

kumpisal

randomness
i got the biggest compliment of the year from my boss. magaling daw ako sa tao. it felt good. siguro kasi, kahit na ano pang mangyari, i choose people over anything. yun lang. therefore, without sounding condescending, my friends are lucky because once i consider them friends, they are my friend (cheesy but) forever. i have this unreasonable tolerance that i can only grant to friends and family. but i'm digressing. anyway if there's one thing that i can say with full confidence it's "relationships first before anything else."
yes, i've stayed out of the blogosphere for a week, marami na kasi akong nasusulat na walang saysay. at bilang boring na tao naman kasi ako, um-experience na muna ako ng mga bagay bagay na pwedeng isulat dito.
congratulate me for graduating (finally!!) my thursday classes (na naging wednesday tapos friday).
anyway, just to get some pics off of my phone, let me share them to you (syempre selected lang!)
